Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
They will be serving students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a 1:1 setting/ group setting.
This role involves managing a caseload of approximately 6 to 10 students, focusing on fostering individualized growth and learning in a supportive, structured environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to students with DCD and ASD.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to enhance learning and development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and support staff.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage families and caregivers as partners in student education and development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant educational regulations and standards.
